1. Why can I only upload files up to 250K in size?

File uploads have been limited to 250K because large files, especially image embedded in wiki articles will make the loading of the pages slow. Another reason is because DirtyTorque is a free service the owner/author has to pay the monthly costs for bandwidth and disk usage at the Internet Service Provider hosting this site which can become costly if large files are used. Images should be re-sized to a smaller size e.g. 640x480 or 320x240 or the quality reduced. If this size restriction is causing issues please post on the Suggestions page or send an email to Carl with your ideas.

2. Why can I only upload certain file extensions?

Some file extensions can be dangerous and therefore to control security only certain extensions are allowed. If this size restriction is causing issues please post on the Suggestions page or send an email to Carl with your ideas.

2. Why can't I contribute to an articles

Due to abuse only accounts that have registered and confirmed email addresses may contribute content, read the Creating an account page to create your account.
